This live album was recorded on April 24, 1980, for an HBO special at Television Centers Studio in Hollywood, California. The master tapes weren't found again until recently. It is Linda Ronstadt's only live album to date.

Trivia:
- Peter Asher, backing vocals, is also Linda's long term manager. He was a member of the 1960's duo Peter & Gordon.
- The album came about after a dvd bootleg version of the show was discovered. When a search went out for the original recordings HBO did not have them. A chance encounter with a sound engineer who later found them misplaced in the archives brought us this album. We are all thankful.
